Research Group of Medical Microbiology

The research group focuses on a wide array of clinically-centred issues facing of medical microbiology. Recently, the chief focus of the research group has been on host-microbiota interactions, the oral microbiome, and microbial associations with various neoplastic disorders. In addition, the lab of Prof. UM, dr hab. Tomasz Karpiński has a strong history of active involvement in the search for new plant-derived antimicrobial substances.
